NEED A TV FIX ?

A lot of us here have been addicted to the Wire and now it's gone some of you need something to fill the void.
On the Word blog I've been running a one-man crusade to promote BROTHERHOOD. On YouTube i've found clips and behind the scenes footage.
Here's a promo

It really is excellent have a look at some of the clips

From what I've seen

It looks really good.

There's a House of Wire connection too

One of the producers worked on Homicide: Life On The Street.

The basic premise of the blurred lines between Irish-American cops and robbers in Rhode Island sounds a bit "watched The Departed, done that", it certainly looks like it's worth giving a go.

Checking with Amazon I see there's no Region 1/PAL DVD yet, although vee haff vays, so for just a tenner for the first season, I'm game.

Be Honest

Archie-if you don't enjoy it i'll send you a tenner(Offer only avaliable to Archie, as he is the first to take a punt, before eveyone starts asking).
The Cops and robbers thing is only a part of it.The Political side is as important. Basically it's about living in a community where family is the most important/powerful thing and how life is changing for the Old guard and it's traditions.
Think more State Of Grace meets The Godfather.
Another Wire connection is The Two main Irish-American Characters,The Caffee Brothers, are played by an Englishman Jason Issacs and an Australian Jason Clarke and like The Wire's British actors they are 100% convincing.
A quick note. After you've watched it,Do you find that the only accent you find strange is that of Rose Caffee who is actually played by An Irish actress, Fionnula Flanagan.?

I loved the 1st series of Brotherhood on FX

But moved 10 months ago so never caught the second series...only just got the Sky connection back due to massive trees in the garden obscuring the Satellite (don't ask its been a saga).

Being totally poor at sorting these things via bit torrent etc (Rescue Me last series bought off a dodgy cyber tinker thru eBay, as was Curb a good few months before it surfaced in Blighty)

Soooo....does anyone have a DVD copy of Series 2 Brotherhood that could be copied (costs paid etc?)

To concur with Paul,it is quality.

Luckily I have only just got into The Wire and have watched up to Season 2 Episode 5 with all 4 seasons box sets purchased and Season 5 on pre-order from Amazon.
