My Uke Gently Weeps

marmiteboy's picture

This is rather good I think. A very good musician doing a lovely version of My Guitar Gently Weeps on a uke.

Wonderful

Many thanks for that. I was tempted to film my uke version of Something. Until I saw this guy. And his dog:

continuing on the George/uke thing...

I'm sure the Massive will be agog to know that i've just about managed to get the F/F6/Fmaj7 opening of 'I'll see you in my dreams' down. I've seriously uncoordinated fingers...

Only another heap of chords which *don't* fall into the I, IV, V series to go...

Jake Shimabukuro

It is indeed a great performance. Jake was on the Royal Variety Show before christmas accompanying Bett Midler on another HJH classic (in my life).

Send for Gugug...

I can't view YouTube at work, so I can't post the link. I know, its Elf & Safety gone mad. But I've seen enough of it to tell the Massive that Gugug is The Man when it comes to uke classics. Search for his channel on YouTube and enjoy his rich tapestry. I particularly love the duets with his mate Finn especially the classic punk covers. Gus also does splendid belo-fi one-man-band versions of ska classics; check out Guns of Navarone, it's fantastic. Fire!!!!!
