Music for Falling Satellites
Posted by Ahh_Bisto on 22 September 2011 - 4:20pm.
Apparently the US Space Agency's 6 tonne Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite will fall to earth on 24th September.
Luckily the North West meet-up is on 23rd September as there is a 1 in 3200 risk to life from the bits of space junk that won't burn up in the atmosphere.
Massive, have you any appropriate choons to accompany this event?

Maths !
They may well be experts in all sorts of wonderful things, but those odds are ridiculous. Surely the satellite would have to be 1/3200th the size of earth for that to be true
Would you recommend
not placing a bet on PaddyPower then?
er
Question is how much of the earth's surface that the satelitte might concevably land on is inhabited (a very quick search suggsets around 1-2% of the Earths surface is inhabited by man)and within that the odds of a relatively small chunk of stuff hitting someone (there are plenty of places in even a densely packed city that would constitute a miss).
Odds seem plausible to me.
Anyhoo, back to the question. Jello Biafra and Nomeansno - Falling Space Junk.
What about these?
XTC - Another Satellite
Devo - Space Junk
