Mr Hepworth will tell thee
What 'appens in Yorkshire then moves on t'rest o'country. Can't wait for it to reach old Lanky...

"The decline of the high street record shop, the loss of that retro browsing experience, and a lack of places for like-minded music fans to meet, has led to the revival of the once-common record fair. And Yorkshire appears to be top of the pops, thanks to the regularity and selection of its fairs.
Japanese buyers frequently fly into the UK, loading trucks (yes, literally) and hiring flunkeys to push trolleys laden with treasure destined for their home market.
They can be seen at the larger Yorkshire fairs, like Sheffield, Skipton and Leeds, usually on five-day raids where they will have a meticulously planned route that takes in the stalls along with the last remaining record shops."

Record Fairs != Treasure Troves (any more)
Well, yeah, said Japanese will be very disappointed unless their weltanschauungen* encompasses a desire to acquire lots of Deacon Blue albums or similar...
Last record fair I went to was dismal... what good vinyl there was was over-priced and things marked as mint or exc++ were anything but. Luckily captain VPI 16.5 to the rescue** but, still, anyway, whatever...
So, unless the stash is of better purity^H^H^H^H^H^Hquality I don't think I'll bother going...
* this is my favourite word of the moment and I'm unashamedly inserting it into every semi-applicable slot - in the spirit of 'when all you have is a hammer ever problem looks like a nail'...
** it's a record cleaning machine and a cornerstone of my vinyl collection's maintenance schedule, though I'm selling it soon as I've been backing out of vinyl for the past 18 months or so...

Singular is Weltanschauung.
