Moustaches
Posted by Twangothan on 31 October 2010 - 8:46pm.
Anyone doing the Movember thing to raise awareness and funds for the fight against prostate cancer? I am - I am sure I will look a prize nob at the Word do, but it's for a good cause. Anyone wishing to join my team more than welcome - contact me thorough the site. Fund raising strictly optional - I think giving to charities is a personal business - but the awareness raising and having a bit of a laugh can only be a good thing.
I am going for a greying leatherman look. Mrs.T is eyeing the suitcases.

I couldn´t grow a moustache if my life depended on it
It´s upsetting. I just know it would make me a handsome bugger.
I am the same..
..it would take me the whole of November to grow and it would still look crap. Just not hairy.
A well tended moustache
is the hallmark of a Gentleman.
I never technically grew a moustache
However, I found myself with a beard once. Upon getting rid of the thing, I left my top lip unshaved to see what I would look like.
And I looked like Freddie Mercury.
Good Luck!
I did Movember a couple of years ago (with mexican bandit 'tash). All I can say is that it's a long month...
God
I hope not. Can I opt out?
I once grew a goatee...
my friend Matt said I looked like Ice T.
I didn't.
Lord Lucan Found Alive In Dublin
from a few years back
Press ganged
I've been press ganged into Movember. God only knows what my 'tache will look like (not great, is my guess)
Never heard of Movember
but I'm tempted. May go the whole Word Cover beardy thing. Or not.
Here you go
This is the website
http://uk.movember.com/
Some of the content is a bit odd - "Mo'sisters" etc - but the intent is good. My Dad died of prostate cancer so this is personal.
I used to have a beard ...
... many many years ago, and have been itching (no pun intended) to find an excuse to try out facial hair again. I suspect it will now be grey.
I'd love to join your team - please drop me a line!
Ta Mint
I've contacted you directly.
For others who are keen - Lenny, I saw your post, here's my link. The team is called Fathers and Sons. I suppose I should have made it more Wordy.

Rally round team, we could have seriously hairy lips here.
I like the idea of this.
Lots of patients of mine are fighting prostate cancer at the moment.
A few will be dying of it.
The Movember idea appeals to me.
They'll owe this bloke double
Progress report - week 1
Going well, Twang
But worryingly S&P..
Naaa
I knew it would be. Wear your age with pride and dignity I say. Such as growing a daft moustache...
Blimey, it itches ...
Progress update from me too. S&P as well, I note.
Good work, good work Mint
Are you coming on the 29th? I sense a photo op.
So as November is very nearly over
Can we have some Massive moustache photo updates, please?
After
you.
Oi!
There's no need for that sort of depilatory comment. That's really waxed me off.
Sorry
Good thing I shaved the worst part of the joke off before I posted.
You asked
This is the good one. The other attempts were even more like Crimewatch out takes
Nice work, Twang, as I told you admiringly at the Word Awards.
I can vouch for it's ticklishness when partaking in a peck on the cheek, too.
Anyone else like to share photographic evidence before the removal men shift the face furniture?
Tomorrow,
or maybe the day after.
I need to keep mine till Wed night as half a dozen of us from work are partaking and there'll be photos taken.
The minute the photos are done, the razor and scissors will be out. I'm counting the minutes.
Ta Drakey
Pleasure was all mine
Fuckety-O
You look JUST like my brother!
In all seriousness.
Crikey Moses.
Moustaches
I like a man with a 'tache nowadays*. I think Twangothan looks v. dashing and dishy.
I approve.
*Obviously goes without saying I like a beard. I'm here, ain't I?
Cripes
Blushes furiously. A rather posh female manager at work said "It is rather rugged..." in a slightly hoarse voice.
As a self-confessed moustache loather
Even I have to concede that's a fine moustache and you look rather dashing, Twang.
As promised
Photos to be taken tomorrow night with workmates, then I'll be clean shaven till next year.
Lovely 'tacheing.
Quite luxuriant, with excellent use of the horizontal 'soul patch' under the bottom lip, too, just to add balance. Well done, sir.
Good work
Nice one Stevie!
Last day of the Mo
Just a quick word to say thanks to the wonderful members of The Massive who donated so generously to the cause, I was genuinely moved by it. Thanks again.
:-(
Can't see a picture...
I can see it....
But I put it on twitter as well (@Andymack)
Hooray!
I love all the 'taches.
My friend Marco has one, and I will be sad to see it go tomorrow.
