Mighty, Mighty Boosh.

Having feasted upon the work of the Mighty Boosh via the gift of DVD I'm of the opinion that they are the most rock n roll comedians ever. In fact, music is part and parcel of their writing and performing. Vic and Bob were quite rock n roll, Russell Brand affects a foppish rock demeanor, but the Boosh are a perfect working model of comedy and music living together in perfect harmony. And they're funny as fuck.

Unless of course you know better.

Genius...

When I first watched an episode of The Mighty Boosh, I was somewhat confused. In fact, it was a case of "What the f**k IS this?!!" But I soon realised that I was watching the sharpest, coolest, funniest and most original programme I'd seen in years.

What I love most about it is that beneath all the madness and insanity it is rather touching and old-fashioned - basically the story of two friends and their relationship. In this age of comedy of cruelty, it is refreshing to see something that has a heart and isn't all about sneering and awkwardness.

I've just read somewhere that they're making a movie version... could be great.

Agreed.

The Boosh are wonderful... and may I nudge forward Flight of the Conchords as well??
