Mick certainly entertained me as a youth. His handclap during 'Art of parties' was a very cool moment.I wonder how Sylvain feels about this, him being spiritually enlightened 'n' all?
all the money in the world can't make us immune to illness.
I wish Mick all the best, a superb bass player and I just loved his single 'Sensitive'. I'd post it if I could but hopefully a more technically adept member of the Massive will do the honours on my behalf.
"Yeah I heard about that too. Very sad news. I had a few bass heroes back in the day and Mick was one of them. His playing on Tin Drum is exceptional and I loved his performance on the Oil On Canvas tour. He looked terrific, a real star. Look at the so called stars of today, they all look like scruffy, fucking students. I hope he comes through his battle".
Good on ya Midge. What's the likelihood of the appearance from the spiritually enlightened one though? The one that would pretty much guarantee a sold-out show?
...Doods, for posting this. I started a thread on the same topic a few weeks ago, but it vanished off down the page/hierarchy before anyone else had a chance to comment. I figured a few readers would have fond memories of MK and his music, so good work for getting it back up on here. Best wishes to him and his family, obviously.
That's very sad news,
Japan were and still are very important to me.
Thanks for posting this, Doods.

Tremendously sad
Why is it that these people who have given so much pleasure to others never end up having enough money to keep themselves well?
Alas, I fear

Very under rated alround methinks
as a player, star and Japan as a band.
Saw em live in 1981 -2. Fantastic.
Strip away a lot of the nonsense and Tin Drum is just a great record. Gentleman take Polaroids even better.
From the aborted reunion
this was a gem
