Mick Jones: The Rock & Roll Public Library (update)
Posted by SirTerence on 15 April 2009 - 11:20pm.
In the last month, both Paul Thompson & Fraser Lewry have presented excellent pieces on the current Mick Jones exhibition. If you're saying to yourself, "Thanks very much but that's enough already!", then please move along.
Otherwise, stay with me for a moment. Every few days, Mick toddles along to Chelsea Space, takes some things away, adds new elements, and moves some items about.
So, if I still have you with me - there are some 'fresh' (though dusty) new pieces to be seen, from this slideshow of photos I took when I visited Chelsea Space yesterday. If you are thinking of going along, hurry, hurry, hurry. It closes on April 18th.

Serendipitously
saw a re-run of The History of The Clash earlier on telly. Without wishing to come over all Charles Shaar Murray - they were, like, the quintessential rock'n roll band weren't they? All the more perefct for their flaws. And Mick came over as someone who accepts the passing of time with wisdom, dignity and good humour. I shall certainly pop down to see this wonderful collection
How amazing...
thanks to you I have discovered that my late uncle Colin Richards is on the poster for The Clash's film 'Rude Boy'! He played the part of the man in the jazz mag bookshop.
CSM
is a great writer, so it's perfectly alright to have a 'CSM moment'!
He, Nick Kent, (and Danny Baker reviewing the week's singles) were inspirational writers for me.

Patrick - that is amazing.
Thank you
As i don't live in the UK this is the closest i'll probably get to being there. Thanks again
It's a pleasure
