Meet Me On The Corner

By way of a public service announcement can I point you in the way of "The Charisma Years", a four CD box set of Lindisfarne material that seems to round up all the classic early albums plus a few extras, and all for the faintly scandalous price of £11.93 -

Here's a good reason to buy it:

So where's
Gazza?
just
putting his bike clips on.
Brilliant band, brilliant music.
And if you've already got the early studio albums on CD anyway, there's a fantastic live 2 disc At The BBC: The Charisma Years 1971-1973 title available for just under 4 quid (that most certainly is scandalously cheap) from the same source. Highly recommended.
Duly basketed
By the way, I have some newer prog you might enjoy. Drop me a line...
what that clip needed was
more cowbell.
Perfect timing
I noticed this last week just after I had bought the 2 cd Alan Hull set When the war is over. Many of the tracks are duplicated but it seems too good to miss.Out of interest what are the live recordings like?
I might also point out
that a few Lindisfarne torrents have appeared on Dime in recent weeks, included one from the Newcastle City Hall Christmas series of concerts from 1976.
Sweaty lip
I think I am going to have to go for this. I keep coming back to this thread. I am on a no frivolous purchases policy in January and have already bought
1. a Wii
2. Various Wii accessories
3. Audix D6 bass drum microphone (no recording sessions planned though)
4. Various leads and connectors
5. Gilmore/Orb album as didn't get for Christmas
6. Rolling Stones 76 tour DVD - see 5
7. Various bits for motorbike - mudflaps, Iridium spark plug, whatever that is. Planning new riding gear and helmet.
Also planning trip to Fopp to get Electric Muse book which will doubtless lead to other impulse buys.
Someone cut up my credit card.
Top tip.
Take the Orb album back and swap it for the Lindisfarne one on the basis that 'someone bought it for me for Christmas but I don't want it', because it is uter pants and a poor chiz.
Not given proper lis yet
but the presence of Gilmore, D on the team is a good start. I will report back.
