Tonight on the normally wonderfully varied channel.
Richard Wilson uses a 1950's Motoring Guide to drive around Cornwall.
Followed by some bloke I'd never seen before using a 1930's Motoring Guide to drive around Cornwall.
I almost hit the 3 button.

BBC4 have themed evenings and currently its the golden age of motoring plus travel guides - last week it was the Beadeker travel guide to do the sights in the 1880's plus this week I think its the Shell motoring guide.
It makes a real change from programmes which are dumbed down or contain celebrities blowing their own trumpets!
PS the series on Beeching was also excellent :0)
