Making lists
Tomorrow I am going to the cricket at the SCG (that's the Sydney Cricket Ground to you) (Aust v India 2nd test) and I have just made a list of all the things I need to remember to take. Sunglasses, sunscreen, portable digital radio, opera glasses etc. Plus bottles of water, sandwiches (meatloaf cooking in oven right now) and so on.
If I don't make a list I will forget something essential, it always happens.
Similarly whenever I travel (and often it's to the same place) I have a master list of stuff to remember.
It's partly because my memory is going down the gurgler, but it's also because I find it extremely satisfying.
I especially like making lists like "what I'm going to do in 2012". It's usually the same list I made for the previous year but still, I will continue to do it.
Anyone else?

Normal Behaviour
Sounds like normal behaviour to me. I have several standard lists on my phone (they used to be on my Palm so they're now quite mature) for various things like going on holiday in this country.. another for the States, weekends away etc. Surely it's not a question of memory going but the best way of freeing parts of your brain from thinking about the mundane. It also makes packing quicker and makes the time before going away a lot less stressful and allows you to enjoy your break/outing a lot more.
SCG
You forgot a List of the Test rankings, just to remind everyone around you are watching the 4th placed team at home to the 2nd.:)
As a fan of the former Number One team
I hope we make a better fist of Test 2 than Test 1. I get the feeling that India are trying to cling on too long to former heroes, without an apparent transition plan for the introduction of new blood. Tendulkar's clearly the best batsman since Bradman but at his current rate he will reach a hundred years old before he makes his 100th hundred! and the problems of finding a decent pace attack continue. As my old uncle used to say "one billion bloody people and we can't find two bloody fast bowlers??".
Anyway, hope you enjoy your day although I also hope you have something to add to your "Matches I have seen Australia lose" list ;-)
