Lyrical variations
There seems to be a spate of lyrical threads at the moment, and this just popped into my head the other day, after reading Revolution In The Head.
I was singing (to myself, luckily for the world) A Hard Day's Night and came up with this variation:
It's been a hard day's night
And I've been dogging after work
This then reminded me of a similar variation that came to me a while back, one I might have shared here before (my memory is now hilariously poor), inspired by, and to the tune of, George Michael's I Want Your Sex (retitled I Wash Your Socks):
Socks are natural
Socks are good
Not everybody wears them
But everybody should
And then, my favourite bit:
Socks are best when there's one and one
Does anybody else waste their time this way?

Yes.
edit - Just remembered Fraser's point. If you're not sure about something and you think it might be offensive, don't post it!
All the time
the only one that springs to mind at the moment is from the Ginger one's
Money's too tight to mention
Hotblack!
obviously a plea to the leader of Disaster Area
I always have the urge
To change the third line of John Denver's "Annie' Song" thus:
You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like a rat up a drainpipe
Like a walk in the rain
I have no idea why.
Which reminds me of.....
.....Sheffield United football fans song to the tune of Annies song:-
You fill up my senses
Like a gallon of Magnet
Like a packet of Woodbines
Like a good pinch of snuff
Like a night out in Sheffield
Like a greasy chip butty
Like Sheffield United
Come fill me again....
shout
Doing some washing today i had to spray a top to get some marks out, which I did singing
Shout shout, get them all out
These are the stains I can do without
I've got a million red trousers...
...and a lust for life
Its the middle of Summer
but I found myself singing:
Feed The Dog
Let Her Know Its Dinnertime
to the tune of the Geldof/Ure charity wotsit
