Lovely Cover version - Single Ladies by Hafdis Huld

Georgedivided's picture

I heard this lady singing live on Radio 2 today and have finally tracked down who she is. Whilst searching for info I came across this cover of 'Single ladies (Put A Ring On It)' I think it's rather wonderful

She had a song called

Ski Jumper on a Word CD.

Terrible pun, very nice song. One of the few I've kept off a Word CD.

Enjoyed

Enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting. She seemed to be channeling Rolf's Jake The Peg, which is never a bad thing in my world...

Thank you thank you thank you

I enjoyed that, forgot about the Word CD (tend to play only once and file away) so went looking for more. Another lovely song and bonkers video. Hafdis is the minx in the background. Who says The Word is all about boring old farts...?

Yes,

It's brilliant, loved it. Especially the "band meeting", and general confidence with not being rehearsed but turning that to her advantage.

If there's a better

ukelele cover-version of a Velvet Underground than this, then I want to hear it.
