For the love of pod

If you're near a radio at seven o'clock this evening you can tune to BBC Five Live where I'm on a programme called "For The Love Of Pod". This is presented by Colin Murray and celebrates the world of podcasting with Mitch Benn, Adam Curry, Martin Kellner, Heather Gorringe and mo'. Details here.

But....

as an (I believe) Archer's fan yourself, you'll realise there is a clash here.

Modern technology

You can get The Archers as a podcast, you know, so you could listen it later.

Repeat

The programme is being repeated at 0205 tomorrow morning on Up All Night on R5 Live, if that's any help to anyone.

Four words...

..."BBC" "Website" "Listen" Again"

I know, I know

I was being a little facetious.

CarlP | 24 March 2008 - 4:01pm

As ever

Mitch Benn sucks the joy out of any audio experience.

I am sure there are some other good podcasts

but I can't see myself listening to any other than The Word one. This programme didn't make me want to hurry and download anything. Do we really need to hear podcasts from those who are already heard of more than enough of on radio on TV? Yes I know you don't have to hear them but I question the value. Surely what's worthwhile is hearing from those who haven't previously been heard from in sound. Although Mr Hepworth is getting about a bit these days - The One Show, Radio 5 etc.

I recommend

Mark Kermode's film reviews on radio 5, and Guardian Football Weekly. Both very amusing.

Johan | 25 March 2008 - 2:09am

Well, Mr Hepworth...

you must have been pleased... ten seconds into the programme and Colin Murray had already confused you with Mark Ellen! You took it with such good grace, too!
