It's bloody great, isn't it? None more so than this ace slice of pure guitar pop nirvana:

Easily
my favourite new album of the last couple of years - even better now the sun has made an appearance. Gorgeous melodies, great sound, unforgettable songs.
I'm actually slightly disappointed in the album...
... but that track should be no. 1 all over the world.
It is indeed...
... lovely.
Fantastic black humour lyrics
This is a particular favourite...
You're right
It is bloody great. I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it. Unless something really spectacular is released in the next 9 months, this is album of the year IMHO.

Legally of course.
From what I've heard so far it's a great album and although I'd seen Ron Sexsmith a few times on TV he hadn't really caught my attention until this.
He does appear to have the endorsement of Nick Lowe who he has toured with which says it all really. Here's a vid of them playing together at the Royal Albert Hall.
Fantastic
The little mistake only adds to the charm and Ron plays a great "corny country" guitar solo too.
When I was younger and stupider I thought country music was boring rubbish for idiots only, but songs like this, lyrically crafty and chock-full of charm show just how foolish my view was.
This song is also a staple of Hank Wangford & the Lost Cowboys' live sets. Sadly no longer such a show stopper since Reg Meuross (and his golden high tenor voice) parted company with Hank & the boys.
One day he shall be king and then I will be one of those
"Oh, I saw and loved him when he was still under the radar."
Because he´s bound to go massive at some point, right?
