London Word Massive Mingle, date picked! 10th June 2011

Hannah's picture

Hellooo!

Come hither and vote on when we next meet up for real ale, cake, savoury delights, lots of serious chat about music and lots of silly banter about everything else.

If you've not been to a mingle before, then we'd love to see you. Newbie attendees / posters / lurkers are all warmly welcolmed with open arms (and cake).

Right, vote vote vote. Poll will stay open until after the weekend(ish).

See you in June!

Hannah x

PS and I intend to serenade you with my wonderful ukulele. Thanks again.

UPDATE: The poll is now closed and the date for the next mingle chosen as Friday 10th June. Looking forward to seeing you all there and apologies to those who can't make the next date... Lunaman, Ganglesprocket, Joe, you'll all be missed.

The way the voting's going

It's looking like I won't be able to make it. Boo - why do my friends choose to get married at such inconvenient times? Selfish; that's what it is.

You find that with couples on their wedding day

It's all about *them*

You're telling me...

My sister's getting married over Camp Bestival weekend this year.

Bleedin' selfish, that's what it is...

I'm in...

although I hope the pub won't run out of ale or bitter like the last two times!

Rest assured, Retro...

I emailed the pub on that one. Response below...

Just to explain about the real ales, each one is scheduled only to last a maximum of 7 days (or they are not at their best) and each one takes between 12-24 hours to change as each barrel has to settle so the sediment goes to the bottom of the barrel. Also each barrel has to have the lines cleaned between each barrel to stop cross contamination. Sometimes, unfortunately - they all run out at the same time and this was one of those cases.
I'll make a note in the diary next time to make sure that hopefully all the real ales will be on - but if not there will be a reasonable number for the night which we can organise by delaying which ones go on earlier in the week.

So fingers crossed, there will be real ale for all!
