Little Feat bargain time

Carl Parker's picture

The first five Little Feat albums can be bought in Fopp in a single package for £12.
The come in replica cardboard sleeves. There are no extras, just the original tracks.
If you're one of the young 'uns that populate these here parts (or an old 'un that never bothered to celebrate Little Feat), there is a Fopp in your vicinity and you don't have any Little Feat, you can't go wrong. You couldn't buy all these on iTunes for less.

What you get for your money are these gems:

Little Feat
Sailin' shoes
Dixie chicken
Feats don't fail me now
The last record album

Yes but...

... if you have a look at Amazon here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Album-Little-Sailin-Chicken/dp/B003097B...

there's a detailed and seemingly authoritative review, supported by comments, that suggest you'd be wasting your money.

Even so ...

...as Carl says, if you don't have any Little Feat, this is the most cost effective way of obtaining so much consistently fabulous music (they went off a bit after The Last Record Album).

Still though

same series, five Monkee albums. These look like they're the single disc Rhino remasters from the mid-90s (which were ace)

Still again

Agree that the packaging is a bit flimsy but it's still a bit of a bargain. I bought it at my local emporium the other week along with a similar Dr John package and have been enjoying both immensely.
