Massive or Collective or Gang may be a debating point, but I am getting more and more surprised about the impact of this blog.

To add to press quotes and mentions of intelligent debate (sometimes quoted as fact, we are now finding ourselves more and more discovered in the blog world.

Since starting up a music blog, a couple of months ago, I get a lot of contact from fellow fans. When you look at their sites, there are lots of links to Word magazine.

The links go further to either a bit of text mentioning the blog, or a link to the blog itself.

Could it be that we will be voice of reason as the papers drop one by one?

On a more serious note, I'm amazed at how much time and effort, some people put into these blogs. I get irritated some times at putting in an average of an hour a night and don't get loads done.

Some of these sites, must be virtually full time occupations, probably for divorcees.

Most are a real labour of love.

This ties in

with an idle thought I had when eating my lunch earlier today (I had a spicy Mexican chicken enchillada sandwich, thanks for asking). What with the current mistrust of politicians and the mass cull due at the next election I wondered whether or not the country would be in better shape if the next lot of MPs were drawn exclusively from posters on this blog?

So who here should be the next PM, Secretary of State, Minister for Culture etc?

Yeah right wasn't it Enva Hoger (?)

who insisted nobody had a beard imagine the reverse. Plus the country would go to rack and ruin while the cabinet whittered on about the merits of incredible string band versus girls alouds. The only good thing is we could lock up Keane arbitarily and the music in pubs would be turned down.
basiclaly not sure The Word Massive's first government could ever come to consensus.

Is it really that pervasive..?

You're into Word-type music, you run a music blog about - I'm guessing - Word-type music and you get lots of contact from people who like what you write and surprisingly also like Word...

I don't wish to run down the influence of Word - clearly you don't get awarded "Music Magazine of the Year" two years running for nothing - but I feel there's considerable confirmation bias here.
