Let The Right Wonder Llama In

Beezer's picture

Rented 'Let The Right One In' at the weekend.

I am not here to mock the Swedish Language or the film itself. Quite the opposite. I implore you all to watch it if you haven't already. More than anything it's an affecting adolescent love story which rises above the matter-of-fact scenes of domestic vampirism.

But the last time I saw a film begin with Swedish credits it was Monty Python's Holy Grail. I'm afraid I gave in to some pretty inane tittering as they rolled.

Moose bites can be pretti nasti you no.

Great film

if a little strange. When I hear Swedish people speak English I always think of the Two Ronnies sketch with the Swedish man asking for deoderant." Do you want ball or aerosol?" No, for my underarms please or words to that effect.

A masterpiece

It stayed with me more than any film I've seen in ages. When I upgraded to Blu-Ray, it was the first disc I bought.
