Les Dawson's piano playing

Vincent's picture

My late mother's wish was for her funeral to end with some piano playing by Les Dawson, but she died before YouTube emerged. I can't see any downloadable files of Les's piano playing out there. How does one strip the sound from a video file like this?

I guess you could use

a program like Audacity (it's free to download).

Just one word of caution - it basically records any sound coming through your computer, which you can then convert to mp3, so if you type it will record the keyboard strokes and if your email "pings" that will also appear.

Tap "audio from youtube"...

...into Google and you'll get loads of matches like http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ Can't remember the name of the actual site I used, but similar to this one. Hope that helps!

Vince

I've sent you an email through your 'contact' tab on the site (you might want to check your spam folder if it hasn't got to you).

Received a Twitter alert

I have this LP but it is a series of comedy sketches and not the music you are after.

Zamzar

Can I recommend Zamzar.com as another source. It's great for converting Youtube Videos to MP3, and other conversions..
