Led me get Zeppelin

Am I the only person in the entire world who doesn't quite get Led Zeppelin? I am feeling that way... Ok, so if I want to test them out, considering I've already convinced myself I don't really like them, where should I start? Give me a song. Or an album if you must. And please don't say 'Whole lotta love' - I've tried to like that one, but am far too in love with King Curtis' instrumental take on his 'Live at Fillmore West' album. Plus as a Muddy Waters fan, the song has always slightly bothered me anyway. But everywhere I go, someone is banging on about them. And it's not just to do with last night's gig. But of course that hasn't helped. So, come on...educate me. Please.

One track mind

I tried Kashmir and didn't like it; so, according to the 'one track mind' rules, I feel that it's not going to work out.

try Achilles Last Stand off

try Achilles Last Stand off Presence - the best ever on the most overlooked Zep record - over 10 minutes of pure joy .

I doubt..

..that Led Zeppelin ever heard Muddy's version of "You Need Lovin'"
They may perhaps have copped a quick listen to The Small Faces' 1965 take on the same song.
You don't need to like 'em. Quite a lot of sane people with excellent taste hate them.
