Last Post....
...of the year.
Well hello there, all ye of the massive, who aren't standing 5 deep in the pub, dying for another pint.
Just spent 22 minutes listening to Supper's Ready, and now about to settle down with a glass of Champers and Jools Holland and the GLW.
So, without getting Maudlin, may I just dish out some thanks to the massive.
Patrick Crowther: You have been a hoot all year. May your sense of wit and high culture never desert you.
Stephen C: I am still gutted that I was in Italy when your offer of tickets for the East Belfast "Woodstock" festival came through. Maybe next year.
Sheev: The answer is David Bowie. As Usual. Cheers Mate, I'll be listening to Stay at some stage this evening!!!
Andy Barrons: A blog stand up comedian if ever I heard one! Try the veal!!!
Everybody else: Cheers, and a happy new year!!!!

Just had the urge to listen to SEBTP and did so via the less than satisfying medium of Spotify.
Now got the hootenany on and feeling mellowed. Best wishes to all in the Wordiverse, heres to a better year in 2010.

and I'm off to bed. Night all - and happy new year to you.
You're far too kind
I'm the only one in our house who thinks anything I say is funny.
I'm here all week. I'm here far too often.
Have a splendid New Year, sir.
ITV2
Take That. Bloody Brilliant. Really.
It's 9:00 here...
...So happy new Year in three hours.
Twenty Ten and all that
Hey, Iain M - thank you for the mensh.
David B aside - I've found that Laura Nyro, Burial, Mogwai, Garnett Mimms, Swedish pop babes, The Stones '68-73, "Since I've Been Loving You", Alice Coltrane, Anne Briggs, Sweeney's Men, The Heptones, the locally famous Barnstaple solicitors Becker and Fagen, The Band, Linton Kwesi Johnson, the voice of Paul Carrack, C&S&N&Y, Stevie up to "Hotter ", Dr. John and Ibiza Beach House Vol.2 - have regularly provided the answer too of late, lately and a lot of the time.
Anyway - here's to you Professor MacKinney, and the rest of the Blogerati that gather here and Wordworld in general. Have a great, big fabulous 2009 and new decade to come.
Here's another divine David - Ruffin - to serenade the new year in- "Put a Little Love in Your Heart".
Lovely.
That has (nearly) cured my hangover.
I have waited 40 long years...
to be described as a 'hoot'. It was worth the wait. Thanks Iain, and happy new year to you and the Massive.
Happy new year
To all the Massive. Looking forward to having a pint with a few of you later this month.
