La Ronde Infernale

For a small but significant part of the population, the first weekend of the World Cup is overshadowed by the running of the 24 Heures du Mans which started a couple of hours ago.
By the miracle of Interwebs, it's possible to see live in-car footage of (I gather) the entire race at http://www.lemans.org/wpphpFichiers/1/1/ressources/File/live-tv/live-tv-....

Mansell's out already.
Nigel Mansell crashes on Le Mans 24 Hour race debut
he only lasted 17 minutes
A good return on his team's investment!!
This years race is turning out to be a cracker.
21 hours in and Alexander Wurz is driving like a man possessed - after a bad night where the Peugeot slipped to 4th place due to an excursion into the countryside, he's reeling in the leading Audis at 3 seconds a lap. This in a car that is sounding very 'used' and is slowly shedding bodywork.
At this rate he'll be in 2nd place within the hour and challenging for 1st place in the last 30 minutes... We could be on for the closest finish since 1969 when Ickx beat Herrmann by 120 metres or less than 2 seconds.
Live times/positions etc at http://www.lemans.org/en/courses/24h-chrono-en-direct-2010.html
...and he's blown it up with two hours to go.
Still and all, one of the best sustained drives I've seen in 50 years of watching endurance motor racing.
