Just where does she get all these imaginative ideas?

In other shock news today:

- Pope to declare his Catholicism

- Bear set to shit in woods

I felt the Grauniad were taking the mickey a little

with their headline:

"Yoko Ono to write book about John Lennon"

She's referred to as "The Fab Four widow" in the article. Yoko - the FFW.

Why did Yoko Ono cross the road?

"Because I feel that's what John would have wanted"

Any particular reason

why she shouldn't be allowed to write her memoirs? Especially given that anybody who ever happened to be in the same room as a Beatle - and dozens who haven't - have had their say, often about her, often unpleasantly, often ill - if at all - informed?

Well, yes...

but hasn't she already said as much as she possibly could about her life with John through the interminable product she's already brought out, e.g. Imagine - the books/CDs/DVDs/t-shirts/fridge magnets etc.

It's not like she's kept her thoughts and opinions to herself to save for an autobiography - everything she says or does revolves around keeping the Lennon industry alive.

Yes, she IS allowed to write her memoirs

But we reserve the right to laugh, mock and sneer at her for doing so. And to not buy the product. In those respects it's like aging bands reforming to go on tour and fleece their aging former fans.

The sneerers amongst us (and I admit I'm one) should ask ourselves: If someone valued your history enough to offer you £100k for dishing up another slice of it, would you take the moral high ground and walk away?

Right now I'd do it for £100.

Well, ok, £90.

I'll give you £10 and a percentage of the sales

but only if you include THAT story. Y'know, the one you've spent years trying to erase from your memory.

"the one you've spent years trying to erase from your memory"

Oh dear, I think I must have finally managed to erase it.

Do I still get the £10?

Yoko Bio

Fair comment.

She's an addict.

She's always at it.

Don't wish to sound unkind

But, even though Yoko has access to the finest medical care money can buy, isn't it a little risky for a 76 year-old to start something scheduled to take five years?
