Just watching the Storyville documentary on 1968.....

....and it does annoy me that so many of these documentaries get the politics and world events correct but cock up the music.

So far I've seen at least four clips from the Monterey Festival, a Stones clip from 1972, and the narration has just said that Hendrix as an ex-GI was in exile in the UK in 1968..??

You wouldn't think it would take much extra research to get their facts right..

They should read

Peter Doggett's "There's A Riot Going On". It's all in there.

Otis Redding

It also began with Otis, who had died in December 1967. Not far off, but not right.
MrsP and I were wondering what would have happened had RFK not been assassinated. The world would probably have been spared Nixon for a start.
Musical inaccuracies aside, I thought it was pretty good. There were so many items of news footage that I remembered while at the same time I was amazed at the footage of French riots, which I recall as a news item but don't remember seeing.

I agree

About the jumping around on dates but the narration made sense of it.

Incidentally does anyone know if this was a 'British' production? Seemed very much to me as though the French might have made it and an English voiceover added.
