new to me
Very good - I'm a big fan of SRV and you can definitely hear some of him in her tone and playing style. Now added to my 'Save for later' list on eMusic. Cheers Blake.
Glad you liked...
also found this invterview. Much is made that she's a 'girl guitarist', but i think that a did of a dis service, I'm sure that there are many tallented male guitrists out there, but reguardless shes very good.
Lots of SRV going on in that sound, true, so true i've taken to refering to her as JST [surely the old John Player Special monogram is out of copyright, and that would be an awesome tag]

I'm going to keep adding to
I'm going to keep adding to this thread as i find stuff

Shaw Taylor?
"Keep 'em peeled"
Saw her at a blues festival
in Leamington Spa a few weeks ago. Was one of the best acts of the day, and live she was even better than on CD. She also has a shit hot backing band.
On the same bill (amongst others) were Olli Brown and Aynsley Lister - also well worth a look. To repeat a moan I've made on here before - quite why shows like "Later With Jools" have to feature so many has been acts when there's talent like this on our own doorstep is beyond me.
