Jimmy McNulty and Lester Freeman in Othello

Mr Sparks's picture

I'm pleased to say that my wife has just secured tickets to see Othello at the Crucible in Sheffield starring none other than Dominic West as Iago and Clark Peters as Othello. Should be good! It's on between mid Sept and mid October if you are interested.

In an adapted text, I hear...

Put out the light, put out the motherf***ing light:
If I quench yo, thou flaming minister,
I can again thy old-skool light restore,
Should I repent me; but once put out thy light,
Thou cunning’st pattern of excelling nature,
Ain't no goin' back from that
You feel me?

will also be in attendance.
The Crucible is a superb theatre, vastly underrated nationally.

The Crucible

Off to see Hobson's Choice next week and will be certainly seeing Grindleford's finest as Iago in the Autumn.

The reopening production of An Enemy of the People with Antony Sher was one of the finest nights I have enjoyed at any theatre.

The Crucible is a wonderful place.
