her album is very, very highly recommended

Sounds like

a chart bound sound to me.

I keep seeing this name crop up, I recall Kate Mossman bigging this up on these very pages and keep spotting reviews and blog entries but this is the first I've heard.

Is this popular with the youngsters then? Is it in the Hit Parade? Sounds like it should be a big hit, reminds me of Outkast He Yah with just a smidgeon of Ronnie Hazelhurst (in a good way):

Indeed

La Mossman has been singing Monáe's praises for a few months now. I don't know how well the record's sold or how her songs have done in the charts (Monáe, not Mossman), but I'd urge you to buy it - it really is a fantastic record.

Been bangin on about it myself on here.

Amazingly i don't think Radio 1 play listed it.

Obviously it's not as good as all those great tunes they do play.

really, really

looked forward to this record. Unfortunately it is not nearly as tuneful or exciting as her "Metropolis: The Chase" E.P. In fact I'd say her best track this year, "Be Still", is actually on the new Big Boi record "Sir Luscious Left Foot". Check it out if you haven't already. Now that's some exciting and adventurous hip-hop!
