that's not porridge...

... that's a runny flapjack ... porridge oats (not rolled oats), water and salt is all you need ...

porridge with milk and "things" ... good god, you'll be telling me the North Sea is "a bit cold" next ...

The breakfast of champions Patrick

got up late after a heavy sesh at a local German Bier microbrewery last night, that stuff keeps you going all evening until - Wham! you hit a wall, and nothing but home and bed will do.
Glad to report the hangover is minimal (lack of chems?) but I'm still a bit fragile.
Sun's out, so a bottle of red, roast chicken breast and a baked tattie are next up.
Klaus Schulze and Lisa Gerrard are easing my transition to normal life.

Fresh baked bread

Set the breadmaker last night, so I've had crusty warm bread with butter & marmalade with my coffee. Made my sarnies with it, then had a poached egg atop another slice.

Now I'm waiting for my mates to pick me up, for a day climbing in the Peak. Perfect.

Breakfast in Lichfield

Mushrooms, 2 rashers of grilled bacon, grilled cherry tomatoes, baked beans and 2 slices of multigrain bread. 3 cups of tea - PG Tips of course and a glass of blueberry and blackberry juice.
Music in bed included Up where we belong - the Buffy Ste.Marie version not the rancid crap that graced the charts and as I type this Elbows Audience with the Pope which seems aptly blissed out for a sunday am.

Unfortunately I now have to empty the garage of shite and take it to the tip.

Home again

A bowl of porage. Made with water, splash of milk, handful of raisins. This is in contrast to the last fortnight on Islay where breakfast generally consisted of free-range eggs, Islay square sausage, Stornoway Black Pudding, bacon, etc .

As usual

2 weetabix, cold sterilized milk and acacia honey. The only time I amend this is when I feel like adding those Cinnamon Square Wotsits for added flavour.

The boy Roger had the right idea

Petit dejeuner Chez Kerr

A square sausage, slice of black pudding, bacon, eggs and beans with a pot of heart starting coffee.
Ooh I'll have a glass of M&S fresh Valencia orange juice before you all start tutting

Brunch

Guacomole spread on toast topped with a fried egg then a small slice of fried halloumi on top of that. Give it a go. It's a winner. A little background chilli heat, different textures - creamy, crispy, runny from the egg, salty taste of cheese. Oh yes!

The Salthouse Harbour Hotel

in Ipswich has provided us with a tray of pastries, toast, coffee and bucks fizz, all taken whilst overlooking the marina. Wonderful stuff.

Just

tea (Yorkshire tea bags) and toast. Wading through the Sunday Times and listening to Innervisions and now switching to cricket. The FPO and youngest daughter at her Dad's, and son (15) at first sleepover party so lazy start to a lovely summer's day. The lull before the storm of the Axekeith clan re-assembling later in the day.

As always..

....2 boiled eggs and toast, fresh orange juice and a double espresso.

Music - four and a half minutes of magnificence

My son is doing a bungee jump today....I wish he wouldn't.

Breakfast

Fruit & fibre - got to keep the tripes clean.

Honestly, my colon is so clean, you could wrap your packed lunch in it.

It was a while ago now but:

It was a while ago now but: "French" bread from the Co-op. Lurpak. Frank Coopers'. Grapefruit juice. PG Tips & Silk Cut. Junior Walker & The all Stars. Set up nicely. Wondering what on earth a "fish pill" might be or do. Could probably use one. Crumpets - now there's a thought.
