iTunes help

Native's picture

Sorry to be a complete bore but I've seen quite a few technical issues get resolved on here, so thought I'd give it a go.

For some reason I can't make iTunes my default music player. It used to be but I think the change may have happened when I did a Windows update, so Windows Media Player is now my default player for MP3s.

When I go in to 'Edit' and 'Preferences' in iTunes and tick the make iTunes your default player it just doesn't register. I put the tick in the box, exit 'Edit' and then when I go back in it is un-ticked again?!

Any suggestions gratefully received...

If it's Windows XP...

... you go to Control Panel - Add Remove Programs - Set Program Access and Defaults (left hand side) - Custom - then you choose which default player you want.
