It's true......

Retropath2's picture

I've finally gone mad. On signing back in to an afternoon of intermittent blogging, between work commitments, my computer began to speak to me. In american. I am hearing about the problems in Dylans portaloo with on the spot live reporting. I am expecting to hear LOUD (shouting no doubt) tell me personally about his excursions into the Court of the Crimson King and, more than likely, in due course Archies fractured spoken english talking about, well you know, everything. Is this it? have I finally cracked. It were that bloody Hedgehog Pie what done it.....

You're not alone

.....as I'm getting it too.

I don't like shit like this as I don't know how to stop it. If I want to hear something I'll click on a link...I don't want anything on my pc that I'm not in control of.

Me too!

I was listening to Teenage Fanclub on Spotify, and would have thought I was going mad had I not read the post in question earlier today.

Turned the sound down on the Dylan news report, but I suspect it'll come back when I reopen the page. Help, Fraser!

Fixed

Looks like Paul had added an embedded video to his Dylan entry. Unfortunately, it was the type of video that starts automatically - without the user selecting the 'play' button. Naughty.

I've deleted it.

Thanks, Fraser!

Now, any idea what went wrong when I tried, in Archie's Cod Rock thread, to link to an earlier thread of mine?

I'm quite prepared to be told it was ineptitude on my part - I'd just like to know...

Yes

You'd surrounded the link with <p> tags, which confused the filters we use to turn web addresses into clickable links. Basically, you don't need to enter line and paragraph breaks using HTML - just type as normal and they're converted automatically. Link now fixed.

Thank you, Fraser.

So, it's not just myself I can confuse these days: my mojo works on filters, too....

The "Tangled Up In Poo" thread

has(had)a video clip on it that opens up as soon as I open the blog.

Clip doesn't seem to be there now, and I'm not getting the sound anymore.
