Entertainment For Lively Minds
It's that time of year

Forget all the best of the Noughties lists. It is the time where there is the sad task of summing up who we have lost throughout the last 12 months and every time there is someone I did not realise had died. The poignant clip from the BBC contains no such names; I read about all of them somehow.
There are a couple than can still raise a chuckle and they will live on as long as BBC Gold exists to repeat old series ad infinitum.
Onwards and upwards into the Tenties...(?)

Another one to add to the list
Rowland S Howard, Australian musician, and founder member of 'The Birthday Party' has passed away today at the age of 50 due to liver cancer.
His guitar work on the 2 Birthday Party lp's were thrilling and innovative. he was eventually replaced by Blixa Bargeld for one Birthday Party ep, before the band split and reformed as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Howard went onto form 'Crime and the City Solution'.
A bit of shock, didn't know
A bit of shock, didn't know he was unwell. I often annoyed the neighbours with Prayers on Fire; Junkyard and the Mutiny ep at high volume in the early 80's. Apparently Howard was coughing up blood at his last gig; there's real showbiz spirit for you.
