It's Fist Of Fun!!!! *

DogFacedBoy's picture

Maybe you like the anarchic humour and swearing or are older viewers who just like the noise and crazy patterns of their shirts - well Rich and Stew have bought the tapes from the evill BBC and Patrick Marber to release Series 1 of seminal student humour series FIST OF FUN! on DVD avaliable to preorder now from home grown DVD label Go Faster Stripe

http://www.gofasterstripe.com/cgi-bin/website.cgi?page=videofull&id=1156...

BTW if you hate Stewart Lee & Richard Herring then no need to say so, just keep quiet and imagine their pockets emptying as this self financed venture means they are unable to heat their homes this winter. So buy this or Stewart Lee will freeze to death as he tries to keep warm by burning his Fall albums. Do you really want that?

Here's some childish humour to make you happy or angry

*Moon on a stick not included

I am Rod Hull

Aaaaah

But apparently, there is.

0
illuminatus | 1 November 2011 - 5:31pm

Aaaaah, so there is.

I must learn to read someday.

0
Bob | 1 November 2011 - 5:37pm

Are you a fool?

Don't you even know that yet? I do.

0
DogFacedBoy | 1 November 2011 - 5:41pm

0
Fraser M | 1 November 2011 - 5:56pm

Yes Simon Quinlank

pops up on a commentary track to give his opinion

0
DogFacedBoy | 1 November 2011 - 5:33pm

One hopes he has some hot

One hopes he has some hot lemon drink with him.

0
Carl Purkins | 1 November 2011 - 7:15pm

Am I

the only one who thinks Rainn Wilson may have watched this in preparation for his role as Dwight Schrute in The Office USA?

0
KDH | 1 November 2011 - 7:47pm

Now to find a computer...

"with internet access..."

0
Adman | 1 November 2011 - 8:30pm

That's the problem you see...

You want the moon on a stick.

All of you.

1
Six Dog | 1 November 2011 - 5:58pm

That's what you want

1
illuminatus | 1 November 2011 - 6:42pm

(Ahh ... memories of Sunday Morning entertainment whilst nursing a hangover)

0
Rigid Digit | 1 November 2011 - 8:15pm

Aaah

http://www.stewartlee.co.uk/oldshows.htm

He's taken down the Fist of Fun ones, though.

0
Jon | 1 November 2011 - 8:25pm

If they don't lose their shirt

over these releases then yes TMWRNJ (tmwrnj!) will be next. Series 2 of FOF will be out in the Spring

0
DogFacedBoy | 1 November 2011 - 8:18pm

0
Olthwaite | 1 November 2011 - 8:39pm

Pre-ordered.

Ta, DFB!

0
Bob | 1 November 2011 - 8:41pm

Humorous, certainly....

...but is it actually funny?

0
David Hepworth | 1 November 2011 - 9:15pm

Yes.

Objectively. Factually.

9
Bob | 1 November 2011 - 9:18pm

The fact is...

...comedy has not been much good since 1971.

And "indie" comedy is especially shite.

And complementary beard.

2
Bob | 1 November 2011 - 9:25pm

*dons cardigan with padded elbows*

I think that's a bit unfair. But also funny. But actually unfair. DH asked a question rather than knocking the subject whilst suggesting that all three series of MPFC were the high water mark of television comedy.

In answer to the question, yes i found it funny.

0
TedLoaf | 1 November 2011 - 10:46pm

Yes it is funny *

I've checked. I make that strange sound with my mouth and everything

I get confused as to what was on

Fist of fun, and what was on TMWRNJ
they merge into one for me. Looking forward to this though. Amazing that lee and herring had to buy the rights to get it released, and yet BBC worldwide see fit to issue the likes of My Family and Birds of a Feather on DVD
