Is this the most Word Christmas present?

BigJimBob's picture

Inspired by a school visit from a music instrument maker, my 12 year old daughter made her Christmas present for me.

She spent a lot of time on the sound board:

What do you think of it?

That ROCKS! Superb!

Nice one JimBoblette!

Now be sure to learn to play it. girls with guitars are cool, and playing in a band is hugely fun.

Hannah | 25 December 2011 - 8:11pm

Too right Hannah

And that is a really cool guitar Jimboblette. well done!

Just fab

Every credit to her. My lovely 11 year old bought me some chocolate, but I'm sure she'd agree that she's been outgifted (if I was cruel enough to show her).

Big Pants | 26 December 2011 - 12:17am

0

That is magnificent

You must be very proud.

Are you going to record it so we can hear it as well ?

Even if you don't it is still marvellous.

*Young Mr Grace voice*

You've all done very well !!

Little Jimboblette -

What a fantastic gift. BigJimBob, you must be a mighty proud Dad!

Susie Baby | 26 December 2011 - 2:50pm

Do we get to hear what...

...MediumJimBobMissus has to say on the matter?

0
Colin H | 26 December 2011 - 3:00pm

A splendid gift

Little jimboblette is a talented young lady.

0
daddyclark | 26 December 2011 - 3:57pm

Fantastic Gift

That is a lovely, lovely gift. You should be proud, and she should be pleased.

0
SoundMind | 26 December 2011 - 4:04pm

Fraser Lewry | 26 December 2011 - 4:27pm

Brilliant

Very impressed! I doubt I could have got close to such a great look! Patent the nut and bolt bridge without delay!

0
Twangothan | 26 December 2011 - 7:32pm

My dad

is currently learning to play it, he is looking it up on youtube and everything. LOL.

0
BigJimBob | 26 December 2011 - 7:38pm

"currently learning to play it"

...LittleBoblette, thanks to your gift, within a couple of days your dad will be able to do these things, as demonstrated in this vintage video featuring Chuck Berry (the man with the flowery shirt) and Bo Diddley (the man with the Boblette guitar):

1. play three chord rock'n'roll
2. play stadiums with Chuck Berry (if/when Chuck gives him a call)
3. walk like a duck and do the splits

We'll have to call him BigJimBo from now on...

Let's rock!

2
Colin H | 26 December 2011 - 8:44pm

Rock n'...

roll.

0
Patrick Crowther | 28 December 2011 - 2:55pm

Brian May

will want one

0
davefaulkner | 29 December 2011 - 1:45pm

Brian may...

...but he'll be disappointed. LittleJimBoblette is an exclusive and very choosy luthier and Brian, for all his fame and wealth, doesn't meet her demanding criteria (ie he's not her dad)...
