Is it Live or is it 2 Many DJ's?

Went to see them last night, first time I've been to watch some blokes playing records on stage. It was brilliant, an eclectic mix from Can to Roxy to John Paul Young to Justice via Queen and LCD Sound System. They were backed up by some simple but clever visuals - which begs the question - were they actually spinning the CD's live or just pretending to? If it is live how do they match up the visuals so tightly to the beats? I don't want to take anything away from the show, it was great, but I can't quite believe that it was all happening before my very ears. Anyone know how it all works?

They're bluddy grayt aren't

They're bluddy grayt aren't they?! I've seen them many, many times, and it was impressive before they got the visuals, but I guess this allows them to sell it as more of a concert-like spectacle.

I believe they're mixing both the audio and the video simulaneously - it's pretty clever eh? I *think* they are actually using some crazy DVD 'turntables' - if the forum I read it on is to be believed they use these:
