Ipod speaker dock

Can anyone recommend a decent Ipod speaker dock with a radio?

Thanks!

An Intempo

picked it up because it was highly rated on Amazon

I like mine and have had it a couple of years with no complaints. As with anything, depends upon how much you want to spend.

... And on what you reckon would be "decent" ...

good thread on docks in general last year-some will have had radios iirc. I'll be very interested to see if any new good recommendations as my partner wants one for the kitchen but has v definite views on the styling-and doesn't want a DAB radio with an outboard dock like e.g. some of the otherwise highly rated Pure ones.

[edit: because of this we are still using a Gear 4 unit in the Street Party series, similar to this

(came from HMV with my last iPod) in her kitchen alongside the old radio-for a tenner its great ! Her sister has a clock radio with dock from same company, like this one, again I have been pleasantly surprised by the VFM

We have several in our house

The best of the bunch are the following:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Klipsch-iGroove-Speaker-Charges-iPhones/dp/B0030... (we have the old version).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Pure-Fi-Anywhere-Black-iPhone/dp/B001CL...

The Logitech ones are really useful - the have a rechargeable battery built in so you can take them into the garden/bathroom etc. They are also great for travel.

Only advice would be to make sure you get one that charges iphons/iPod touch's. The older docks won't and you'll proably regret it eventually even if you don't intend buying one for a while.

Roberts

....do some nice ones. I have their MP43, which has a dock, digital and FM radio and a cd player. About the size of a small shoebox but sounds much bigger thanks to the subwoofer tucked round the back. Also has a remote control. For less than £200 I reckon I bought something which is more than half as good as a twice-as-much Bose, if you see what I mean!

We've got a...

...Pure Chronos II (with Ipod dock - charges all types) DAB/FM radio - cost £87 from Amazon - not in any way hifi quality but ideal for a kitchen or bedside table.

Tivoli

I have a Tivoli Pal with a lead connecting my ipod, but they also do an iPal with a pod dock:

It has great tuning, really locks on the signal and produces a very pleasing sound. Had it just over two years and use it every day and it comes away with us on holidays and its waterproof so even survives a steamy bathroom. I would have recommended it wholeheartedly if it hadn't recently gone on the blink. I suppose its on at least 8 hours every day and I've probably burnt out the rechargeable battery by leaving the power lead plugged in a lot, so have used up more of its life expectancy than 2 years, but still a little disappointed it hasn't lasted longer. But I'm going to send it off to get the battery replaced for £35 so should hopefully have it last for another couple of years.

I'm no expert...

...but I'm pleased with the Gear4 House Party dock I got from Richer Sounds (44.95 down from 69.95) last week.
