Internet killed the radio star?

popdoc's picture

Looking for a piece of advice folks.

Would any of you kind folks be able to recommend a piece of software or integrated browser gadget that I would be able to collect all my favourite radio stations on? Ideally something that launches when I log-on to the computer and has all my selections queued up and ready to roll.

iTunes

I use iTunes for that, and at least on mine I can set it so that it opens automatically when I switch on.

LIVE radio

Yeah, I use that for podcasts but can I also stream live radio?

Ah for that ...

...I'm talking about the many internet radio stations. There are a lot of those out there.

But for normal stations - you can go to the following page and open any of the streams within a media player.

Save it to your favourites and bob's your uncle. It covers pretty much every station in the UK that I know except maybe XFM.

I don't think you're going to do much better than that.
