Twitter nicely links both Facebook and Myspace so the fact I just put 10 new Liverpool Bands on the Myspace player means I only have to update once and it hits all three.
Far too much. Don't know why. Every minute spent on there feels like a minute wasted. I'd like to close my account but I'm worried that friends will think I've unfriended them, and therefore resent me.
Facebook was clearly invented by blokes to reflect their way of staying in touch -in other words the odd grunt of acknowledgement every 6 months (that's what the 'like' button is for) and the chance to put up a crap joke from time to time or to moan about the football to people who don't care (otherwise known as 'status updates'). And mobile technology means you can do all that whilst having a dump. Basically it's a major step in the process - apparently being intentionally facilitated by all forms of media - of turning everyone in the country into a teenage boy. What's not to like?
