Indie Landfill, now official

Dr Yang's picture

According to The Herald "indie landfill" is now in the Collins English Dictionary.

"indie landfill, a derogatory term for indie music considered to be mediocre"

I am now going to be modest,

and point out that I coined "landfill indie" in THE WORD, and it has since taken off - even if people get it the wrong way round. Even Neil McCormick's using it now. I am AGLOW.

Did Neil McCormack

use it in relation to the latest U2 record perchance?

I know, I know....stop your starting....

Landfill Indie Landfill

Yes, I puzzled about them getting it the wrong way round. Not sure if it was the fault of the compilers of the dictionary or the journalist who wrote the article.

Anagram...

...Landfill Indie = An idle, ill find

Seems to sum up the pasty-faced, shoegazing, lethargic stereotype I think we all understand 'landfill indie' to be.
