Inane band name game

lordlichfield's picture

I'm sure there's been something similar up here before but anyway, as it's Blue Monday, and people may be looking for pointless diversions, the premise of the game is, once upon a time Suede were going to be called London Suede when they toured America to avoid confusion with another band there...

So, with that in mind, I give you:

Turkish Dee-Lite
Paris Texas
The Russian Steps

Anyone care to add?

Some excellent

Some excellent additions.

However, if I were being really pedantic, I would suggest that under the original premise you take a band name, eg Dee-Lite, Texas or Steps, and add a place name in front of it, as in London Suede.

So, strictly speaking, unless there's a band called Kitt, then Merthyr Kitt doesn't qualify. Similarly, unless there's a band called Foxes, then Fleet St Foxes doesn't either.

On the other hand maybe there is a band called Foxes, and in fact Fleet Foxes are really from a service station in Hampshire, and not Beardsville Arizona, at all.
