I'm reasonably sure I walked past Allan Jones this evening

Beezer's picture

He being the editor of Uncut Magazine. At Waterloo Station.

Certainly it was a chap who bore a remarkable resemblance to his byline photo in said magazine.

That's all. I thought it mildly interesting at the time.

Hmmmm. It's not really though is it?

Wow. If you look up raconteur in a dictionary you won't find a picture of me.

If you need me I'll be over there. Carry on.

You probably did

He'd have been catching the train to Twickenham.

I'm pretty sure I walked past Julian Cope

In Richmond, North Yorkshire, a couple of months or so ago.
Felt pretty good about myself for spotting him, I'd feel gutted if I discovered it was an imposter.

I'd rather be on on this thread

than on that Jan Moir one; fuck me it's all kicking off there. Did I tell you Lemmy accidentally knocked me over at a Ramones gig, and apologised? Everybody knocks me over, including Arthur Scargill, but they'll pay, God damn them, they'll pay big time

Happy to help

It's simply because I work in central London of course but I do tend to see quite a few known people padding about the joint. Even those I wouldn't be able to name in a month of Sundays but I just KNOW they were in that sitcom or that drama or whatever.

I'm close to ITV studios and the National Theatre. Nigel Planer, Billy Bragg, Will Young, Julian Rhind-Tutt, the guy who plays one of the guards in Pirates Of the Carribean etc. All passed me by recently going about their business.

I should be on the 'Heat' magazine blog really. Not in this lifetime though.

You would have done

and he looks exactly like his photo.

I used to work in the same building and he would have his lunch on his own every day in the canteen - later than everyone else - reading a copy of the Guardian.

Always wore a black shirt, too. Must have a cupboard full of them!
