but I've just learned that I've achieved a First in my BSc (Hons) Social Work degree. I'm rather pleased.

As someone who worked harder at university than at any other time in my life and only came out with a Desmond, I know a First is no easy feat.
If you can, go out and celebrate - you definitely deserve it.
