I'll give it one more go - Mount Pleasant

James Blast's picture

my posts seem to be boring the arse off most of you, but I'll give it one more go with this

Mount Pleasant on Sky 1, just ace: the writing, the acting, the editing, the filming, the....
surely some of us are watching it?

oh and, Pulp are still shite!

1

Good little show

Mount Pleasant. Nice work from all involved, 'specially Sally lindsey. Lovely genuinely moving moment from Bobby Ball this week (who knew he had that in him?)
You're still wrong about Pulp though.

C'mon Blast

carry on regardless. It feels like the old blog is going through a "transitional phase" we need the likes of you hanging in there. Post some Sisters of Mercy and shake the buggers up.

Edit: Haven't seen it by the way, but should make the effort as anything involving Bobby Ball is worth a look. Thanks for the reminder

Looks funny

Is it quite good or is it really good? Just so I know when it gets shown here.

You never bore me, Mr B.

Thank gawd for that

I've been giving Mt Pleasant stonking reviews recently, only to be subsequently told by all and sundry that I'm quite, quite wrong, and what's more, am actually demented for doing so. So I'm very glad it's finally getting the audience it deserves. (In a good way.)

Don't tell anyone

but I only know Come On Eileen and the Van cover they did on 'The Young Ones'. Talk on here suggests they were more than one-hit-wonders, but that is how they, perhaps incorrectly, always seemed to me. I quite like the hit though.

Liking the 'hit'

is just 'meringue', liking them at all is not healthy.
They're the Pam Ayers of Rawk!
