Made using the latest technology which I won't pretend to understand, this interactive 'Experiment' is like nothing seen before. It strikes me as a game changer, something totally new which could affect entertainment as we know it in unimagined ways. Don't be put off by the fact that it's an Arcade Fire video, [It's a very good track IMO, but I know they're not everyones cup of tea] give it a chance and if you think I've over enthused about it you can call me a nasty name and I won't cry to Fraser.

Go to here - http://www.chromeexperiments.com/arcadefire/

Close down all other programmes and enter your full childhood address and enjoy.
[These are important points as the first time I did it I had other progs running and hadn't been specific enough with my address and it was slightly underwhelming. Once I'd done my bit properly I got the full effect]

* I know it was posted last night, but I think it's worth another mention.

Doesn't work for me

I'm using Chrome & closed down everything else, but all I get is the Chrome "This page has stopped responding" message.

Any suggestions?

Would like to help,

but I'm using Safari on a Mac which worked fine and I'm not familiar with Windows. Sorry.

Me neither...

Was sooooo excited about trying this thing but I cannot get it to work for me. Installed Chrome to no avail. Any ideas anyone?

Not sure about a game changer

But it was rather splendid. (I watched it on Chrome/Windows 7 btw.)

Superb..loved it

That was excellent...thanks for the pointer Chaos.
You may well have appeared in 'my' video as it's just round the corner from you!!

Very good

Although the video wouldn't be as clever if you grew up in a forest.

maybe

brutalist car parks spring up in that case...

Very good

Although it could do with losing the tile and address bars on the popups just to add a final polish.

Extraordinary.

in my case, even more poignant as my old school, which is just around the corner from where I grew up, is in the process of being pulled down.

Is this what being on hallucinogenic drugs is like?

No, it's not

:-)

whiney Arcade Fire notwithstanding

works very nicely on a 27" iMac with 4G of RAM and 5 other programs running.
If it's any help it didn't work last night, I think some tweaking has been done.

Whiney? Never!

Just managed to get the experiment to work & it was fantastic. Like one of my dreams in fact.
