Idle Googling

lead me to this:
"She also played Dina in La Passione, a feature film based on the life of Chris Rea."
I'm not asking you to identify the "she" in question. I'm not asking if you've seen the film. I am asking: have you ever come across a sentence that completely blew your mind like this did to me? A film based on the life of Chris Rea? I know nothing about him or his life, or even if this sentence is actually true but still, a film based on the life of Chris Rea? WTF?

Shirley Bassey
Innit? I thought that film was about Rea's love of Ferrari, not his life in general. Mind I've not seen it, but I don't know.
Here it is

Ah.
I see. A film by Chris Rea, inspired by one bit of the life of Chris Rea. That makes more sense. Though only more than none.
The film exists, alright.
'La Passione'
What's more, it stars the mighty Paul "Baby, BAB-EH!" Shane.
'Dai' Rea has such a love for the old 'Sharknose' Ferrari
that he made a film about it.
Sharknose
No originals exist apparently. The unsentimental old man having had them broken down to provide raw materials for later cars.
Indeed...
and, by a strange co-incidence, Chris Rea commissioned an exact replica.
...used in the film La Passione :-)
I'd rather have a Lotus 25 meself.
Girl In A Sports Car
And here's the rather lush 'Girl In A Sports Car' from the very same movie.
Nice cars but
It is without doubt the worst film I have ever seen.
The "song" "Shirley, Do You Own A Ferrari" just about sums it up...
Blues
A friend of mine subjected me to his story of the blues collection. Nice concept and artifact - original paintings etc - but god it's awful to listen to. Peter Green where are you.
The Problem with Blue Guitars...
...is that over 11 CDs, there are only so many presentations of the Blues that you are going to hear and, after a while, they can get somewhat repetitive; not least because the band is pretty constant. For me it works well as a playlist on random for a relatively short period. I suspect if you did the linear listen, you would go nuts way before the end. That said, you have to admire both the ambition and the achievement - especially as he did this after his near fatal illness.
I have to say that I like it a lot and find myself returning to it surprisingly often.
Chris Rea
Is in the worst film ever but it's not the one above. It's this
