Oh Dear..
The tragic thing is that I'm sure that if you plucked out random teens off Britains streets and asked them a similar question I'm not sure they'd fair much better..
What the...
.
I love the
idea that if you didn't own a map you may not know where in the world your country is. Jesus H Christ!, as an American might say.
wow
just wow
worryingly it didn't come as a surprise
Props to the host...
who didn't burst out laughing. Now that's a professional!
Careful now!
I hope you aren't being a racist.

I see
a bright future for her in politics
She'll be First Lady...
in a few years time.
Seriously though..
Seriously though I must admit to a love of geography and maps in particular and a growing awe of the disinterest of people in the world beyond their door.
I am also distraught at the trust people put in technology like 'sat-nav'.
A story from my neck of the woods that you may have seen:-

Have you read this...?
If not, give it a go.

Come on...
...she's in front of an audience and nervous and that may well be why she lost her train of thought.
Give her a break! I could find the US on a map but I wouldn't have a hope of winning a beauty pageant.
Not of interest any longer, apparently

I'm not sure cartography
would be the first thing on my mind if I were to meet her.
I'd
want to check her contours
ewwww, I sound like a dirty auld man
