I love the Word Podcast ...

dai's picture

... so much that I bought the app (I have the receipt to prove it), I have since had to restore my iPhone and, silly me, I forgot to back up the app on my PC. I can no longer download it.

I would love to subscribe, but am currently working in Switzerland, officially living in Canada and also spending time in the UK.

What is a man to do?

(I was previously a subscriber with guest, hard copies going to my brother in UK, but I didn't like reading online very much)

App Store

You should be able to re-download it from the App Store. From the Updates button then the Purchased tab. Should be in there.

Thanks

I tried that but it wants me to update iTunes and says "previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer in the iTunes store".

You need to update iTunes.

The ability to re-download past purchases was only added to the iTunes store a few months ago, and hence it requires a fairly recent version of the iTunes client to function. You will need to update to the current version.

Oh, has the app been pulled?

Maybe a nice word with the nice Word people might help. They might be able to help with a download code or something.
