I love Grand Theft Auto

Paul Cunningham's picture

I can't remember anyone posting about gaming before but after the features on Guitar Hero and Rock Band in the magazine recently, why not.
GTAIV has me hooked like no film or album has in years, it's unbelievable fun ... How about the amazing in-game radio stations, worth a Word feature alone - featuring guest djs like Iggy Pop, they've introduced me to everything from The Black Keys' Strange Times and MC Lyte's Cha Cha Cha, to Elton John's Street Kids and Interpol's new one, No Sex For Ben.
Any other GTAIV enthusiasts care to out themselves?!

Me Too

Loved San Andreas but the new one takes things to a new level. I suspect some World Of Warcraft fans and especially Dungeons and Dragons fans are on here.Though some bloke posted about W.O.W and then the post went.Probably the Get-a-life police.

This is interesting

because on a recent podcast the guys (Rob Fitzpatrick I think) were discussing / lamenting the loss of the 'event' release. The album you'd queue for, beat down the doors of HMV for. I think this kind of marketing-led frenzy has now transferred to games so you still get those scenes on Oxford St, it's just for games like GTA and not for the latest Oasis album.

Having said that, when (or if) games go digital, we'll probably never visit the shops again....

My mistake, great track though. Think it's Timbaland producing? Great meeting of minds between him and the 'ture.
