I feel something in the air

You know it smells like a barbecue :-)
You just can't beat some Stax ringing out round the garden on a blazingly hot day.
This is the only YouTube video I could find for the track, so ignore the image.
Get those burgers on!

SKA!
is my soundtrack for sunny days and barbies :D
I challenge you not to do a 'Rude Boy Skank' to this
That went down a treat with assembled carnivores
Thanks! I think I'm going to smear barbecue sauce on only one side of the ribs to make them Two Tone.
I have a (happy) vision
of a patio somewhere in England with about 7 or 8 'adults' skanking about, glass in hand shouting "Boom"! while 'that' barbie smell wafts on a light breeze
tell me I'm not dreaming :D
If you're already peering over my fence
You might as well let yourself in the side gate and join in :-)
don't mind if I do
and here' a kilo of fresh prawns and a cheeky little South Australian Pinotage
nice 'ere :D
The grass won't get mown today...
Just spent the afternoon listening to Booker T & The MG's with some Buffalo Burgers and a nice drop of white wine. Any further housework is postponed until tomorrow.....
"yes me frien' - dem say we free again"
sings along I (and,er,I) - waving around mi cookin' utensils - seen?
"Duppy Conqueror"
Bob Marley/Wailers
Open the fridge....
get the "beer can" out and enjoy
Shake yer chops
Nice winter's day. Sunny and
Nice winter's day. Sunny and 27C. Tbone steaks, lamb chops and boerewors on the braai. Helped down with a bottle or two of pinotage. No drumsticks to be seen.
Bit of King Tubby going on here.
And burgers? Away and shite with you. Chicken thighs beaten thin and skewered in multiple fashion which have spent all day marinating with some lemon zest and chilli, along with some home-made merguez which are on the skewers ready to go. Asparagus has already been grilled and eaten with some parmesan shavings and balsamic vinegar. We will also have flatbreads toasted with grated halloumi and topped with chopped mint and lemon juice. A bottle of southern Rhône rosé has almost gone. The sun is setting behind Gosport and it is a lovely, lovely evening as we watch the boats go by from the balcony.
Actually, bollocks. The FPO has gone out and I'm waiting for my prawn vindaloo to arrive. And I'm drinking sherry. But the above barbecue scenario will, hopefully, be in the frame tomorrow. After my game of golf.
Tomorrow's going to be good.
I have a wonderful
picture in my head of Jerry from "The Good Life" eating his curry while Margot was out singing with Miss Mountshaft. Enjoy your day tomorrow.
