Hotels In Liverpool
Posted by Tom on 9 May 2011 - 7:23pm.
Hello,
My wonderful friend that I met whilst I was studying at Liverpool Hope is getting married in July (hurrah!) and I'm invited (Do I need a new hat?!)
Now, everytime I've been there I've not had to stay at a hotel because I've either stayed with her, or I've had my own place to stay whilst I was studying there. So, I'm looking to see if any of you lot can recommend any good, budget hotels for me and whoever I can persuade to be my guest for the day. The nearer to the city-centre, the better; the reception is at the Adelphi, but that's fully booked.
Thanks,
Tom.

A few worth checking
£50ish
Premier Inn in Vernon Street is stumbling distance from the Adelphi. http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/LIVCIT/liverpool-city-centre
My wee bo recently had a Stag bacchanal in Liverpool and they were very taken by base2tay at the bottom of Seel Street. It's even closer. http://www.base2stay.com/liverpool/the-hotel
Even closer is the Liner which is just behind Lime Street station on Lord Nelson Street.
Cheaper
Holiday Inn Express at the Albert Dock is cheaper than these but fills quickly.
If you are total budget, it's Ibis, Formula 1 and Campanile on the Strand and Wapping.
Serviced apartments litter the LIverpool 1 area, so takes your pick. They'll be the same price as a hotel room.
The Holiday Inn
on Lime Street is also very handy for the Adelphi, although I'm guessing it's in the £70+ per night range.
Check out www.visitliverpool.com - it's the official tourism website and they have an independent room finding/booking service.
Marriott
I have got the Marriott for around 40 pounds on priceline.com (through bidding), it's about 5 mins walk from Lime St and 7 or 8 from the Adelphi. It's excellent.
Deja Vu...
I knew this seemed a familiar question and, sure enough, hazeyjane asked the very same question back in Nov.

Happy reading!

Check out tripadvisor, though, as some may look good but people have had bad experiences.
